Learning French – Bucket List Item #14

I set out months ago to start learning French but it hasn’t gone very well 😦

As I work shift patterns, I can’t attend classes as I never work the same shift patterns two weeks in a row 😥 So I resolved to teach myself using the free websites and tools available online. But then my computer died and along with it …. my learning.

But I decided to put the money my nan gave me for xmas to good use and ordered myself a French Textbook that’s used by many schools who teach French. At least that way I don’t have to rely on technology or internet access!!

I’ve decided that I will set aside 2 x 1hr sessions each week to sit down and learn French uninterrupted!! Having just completed my first hours session this week, I can say it honestly feels good to say I’m getting back on track with my learning!! Unit One done and dusted!!!

Je m’appelle Sandy et j’ai vingt-sept ans. J’habite en Angleterre!!

(I didn’t know how to put the accents on :S )

Training for my 5K!! Bucket List Item #28

It’s about time I started ticking some more things off my Bucket List!!

I’m planning my trip to New York in May and I’m currently saving and searching for my first home!!

I’m learning to drive too!! So it’s all coming together!!! 😀 😀

But for now, I need to look to activities to develop my fitness which brings me to item number 28 on my bucket list – To complete a 5K jog/run.

I’ve downloaded a Bupa 5k training programme for beginners to use for guidance as I don’t want to overdo it! It gets you from 0k to 5k in 8 weeks but ambitious me wants to do it in 6 weeks lol!!!

5K TRAINING PLAN

Wish me luck!!
